Dragon Hunt

This is a image that was captured in my brain and i have finally gotten around to painting. It is such a thrill on a summer evening to stand on the prairie watching the sunset and have a swarm of dragon flies buzz all around you. I can hear their wings whirl and feel the soft wind they create as they feast on the zillon little gnats. I love them! Here the dazzeling blue darner dragonflies are jewels over the evening sunset.

This piece will be in the Columbian Artist Group Show at the Manhattan Arts Center, Feb-21-April 5, 2014. SOLD!
