Once in a Blue Moon

This was created as a commissioned piece. This horse's name inspired the design, Blue Moon Over Kentucky. When I heard the name of this horse,  this idea came to mind.  The owner described this horse as one of those rare finds in a horse. So trainable and reliable, and a great lesson horse for kids, even at his younger age. As a horse person myself I understood that this is one of those very fortunate finds one can have, a "once in a blue moon" find kind of horse.
