The Meeting Place

I captured this scene when going to leave the West Bottoms District in Kansas City. This is an area that was nothing but old, mostly abandoned industrial buildings. There is a initiative to revitalize and breath new life and purpose in these historic structures. I was taken by this group gathered in the weathered, but re-purposed space. If the walls could talk, the stories they could tell. That day, there was a friendly gathering of men and lively chatter.
