I hosted a paint out in the public trail day at Prairiewood Retreat Center just West of Manhattan, KS in early September 2019. It was a lovely day out on the prairie, with echos of autumn across the grasses. A few vultures did soar in the distance. Mostly done on site, but high lights and birds added at home in the studio.
