Flint Hills September

September 2021,  2nd Saturday Paint out near Volland, Kansas at the Reece Family Ranch.

Beautiful sunny day kept us from the planned hill top view because of the strong winds. But I found this view inviting, showcasing the colors in the grasses in the morning light along with the lovely native limestone tack building.

Painted most of it in the field, but completed the highlights and color balance in studio.
